Patricia Ann Thome, a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and friend, passed away peacefully with family by her side. She was 84 years old. Born January 17, 1941, Patricia lived a life defined by compassion, creativity, and unwavering devotion to her family and community.

She was first married to Frank Halbisen, with whom she had three children. After their divorce, Patricia married Gerald Thome on September 5, 1970, at St. Mary Catholic Church in Clyde. Together they had two children. Gerald survives her, along with a loving extended family.

Patricia is survived by her husband Gerald Thome; four children, Susan Blankenship, Kathy (Les) Cooper, Ann (Allen) Kauble, Jerry (Susan) Thome; three stepchildren, Jim (Julie) Thome, Paulette Thome, and Wendy Thome; her brother, Jim (Mona) Boyer; and sister, Betty Jane Sargeant. Patricia loved her 13 grandchildren dearly, Jason Halbisen, Rose Robbins, Meaghan Vogt, Ed Blankenship, Alex Kauble, Andrew Kauble, Adam Kauble, Aric Kauble, Stella Thome, Lucy Thome, Marlea Peabody, Nathan Peabody, Logan Thome. Her seven great-grandchildren held a very special place in her heart.

She was preceded in death by her father, Lloyd Norman (Beulah) Boyer; her mother, Ann Marie Marple; her sister, Mary Kaye Reiter; brother, Bob Boyer; and her son, Thomas Halbisen.

Paricia was proud to have worked at Whirlpool Corporation in Clyde from 1967- 2000. When she retired, Pat held the highest seniority for a woman employee. A woman of many talents and profound generosity, Patricia had a passion for sewing, quilting, and baking, occasionally entering pies or quilts in the Sandusky County Fair.

She brought joy and beauty into the world not only through her handiwork but also through her music and service. She was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church and sang for many years in the Sacred Heart Choir. She was an active and dedicated member of her faith community, serving on the St. Mary Parish Pastoral Council. Patricia was a Campfire leader for Bluebirds and Blue Jays for many years.

For many years, Patricia and Jerry were "snowbirds" that wintered in Harlingen, Texas. Patricia was the talent show coordinator for Eastgate Retirement Community, where she and Jerry performed every week. They made friends from all over the world. Her sense of adventure and commitment to cultural exchange led her to host eight exchange students from five different countries, four from the same family, a bond that has now extended into the next generation.

She opened her heart and home with warmth and enthusiasm. Patricia also gave of her time and talents as a member of Daughters of Union Veterans of the Civil War (DUVCW) and was a proud former member of the Red Hat Society. She was very knowledgeable about her family genealogy. Patricia's legacy is one of kindness, creativity, service, and love. Her strength, warmth, and humor will be missed dearly by all who knew her. A special thank you to Heartland Hospice for their compassionate and loving care during Patricia's final days on this earth.

Visitation will be from 5-7 p.m. Monday, May 26, 2025, at Auxter-Recker Funeral Home in Clyde. Funeral Mass will be at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, May 27, 2025, at St. Mary Catholic Church in Clyde, with a luncheon to follow. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Patricia's memory to Sacred Heart Choir Fund or a charity of the donor's choice.
