Paul J. Lindenberger, 75, passed away early Tuesday morning, May 2, 2023, at his home.
He was born July 20, 1947, in Norwalk, the son of John and Leona Lindenberger, who preceded him in death.
Paul was a 1967 graduate of Monroeville High School and served in Coast Guard Reserves. Paul worked at Morrow Grocery Store and then went on to own Quality Foods and then Blue Ribbon Catering/Chef's Market in Norwalk.
He enjoyed his woodworking shop where he created beautiful bowls, cutting boards, etc. Paul could duplicate and repair anything made of wood.
Paul is survived by his wife, Karen J. (Bauer, Long) Lindenberger whom he married Aug. 25, 2010; daughter, Michelle (Patrick) Riley of Norwalk; two sons, Daniel (Lora) and Brian (Beth) Lindenberger of Monroeville; nine grandchildren, Dannielle, David, Dawn, Kara, J.J., Connor, Cole, and Ryker Lindenberger, and Corrinne Riley; three brothers, Ralph (Marlene) of Kentucky, Jim (Susie) of Monroeville, and Donald (Sandra) of Greenwich; four sisters, Sister Betty Lindenberger of Tiffin, Sister Karen Lindenberger of Canton, Ann (Don) Peebles of Wadsworth, and Karen (Dennis) Smith of Wyoming; and sister-in-law, Susan Lindenberger of Norwalk.
In addition to his parents, Paul was preceded in death by his grandson, Calvin Riley; and brother, Dennis Lindenberger.
Visitation will be 4-7 p.m. Thursday, May 4, 2023, at Walker-Eastman-Heydinger Funeral Home, 98 W. Main Street, Norwalk, Ohio, 44857. Funeral Mass will be 11 a.m. Friday, May 5, 2023, at St. Alphonsus Catholic Church, 1322 Settlement Road, Norwalk, Ohio, 44857.

I'm so sorry to learn of the passing of Paul. I worked with him years ago at my brother-in-law's grocery store in Monroeville. To me, Paul was one of the nicest guys ever! He was always busy, busy, busy but would always take the time to help out a co-worker or customer with a smile and a kind word! Paul was one of a kind with his energy, laughter. This world needs more like him and his ever present upbeat attitude. I know he'll be as busy as ever in his next life but I hope he rests a tiny bit too! May God bless Paul and his earthly family.
