Peter J. Platte Sr., 66, of Milan, passed away Monday, Aug. 29, 2022, at his residence from heart complications.
He was born March 18, 1956, in Norwalk, to the late Orville and Helen (Smith) Platte. He retired after many years with Ford Motor Company and had a love for motorcycles, family gatherings, fishing, boating, and Green Bay Packers. He especially enjoyed spending time with his grandkids.
He is survived by his children, Jesse (Dawn) Murr, Peter J. Platte II, Terri Murr, and Ashley Platte; siblings, Orville (Paula) Platte, James Platte, and Dennis (Jeri) Platte; and sister-in-law, Tina Platte. He will be greatly missed by his 12 grandkids and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Marion Houseman; and brother, Larry Platte.
Friends may call 12 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 3, 2022, until the time of Peter's funeral at 1:30 p.m. at Evans Funeral Home, 314 E. Main Street, Norwalk. Private interment will be at a later date.
