Phillip Eugene Schleenbaker, 61, residing in Fremont, passed away Saturday, September 6, 2025, unexpectedly at home.

Phill was born December 19, 1963, in Bucyrus, Ohio, to the late Jim Lind Sr. and Janet (Gregg) Walker.

Phill was employed as a service manager with Erie Island and Commodore Perry Service Plaza on the Ohio Turnpike. He found great joy in biking, hiking, and spending time in nature. Above all, Phill treasured every moment with his family and friends, especially his children and grandchildren.

Phill is survived by his wife, Tammy (Haupricht) Schleenbaker, whom he married December 31, 1992. He is also survived by his three daughters, Megan (Joseph) Cox of Huron, Anna (Matt) Beatty of Alexandria, Virginia, and Briana (Nick) Vogel of Gallipolis; two sons, Josh (Rachel) Schleenbaker of Traverse City, Michigan, and Gabe Schleenbaker of Huron; five grandchildren, Ben, Aiden, Gunnar, Anneliese, Leeland and one more on the way; four sisters, Julie Rosebrough, Jill (John) Dunnan, Jennifer (Wayne) Turner, and Jamie (James) Davis; two brothers, Jimmy (Rachel) Lind Jr. and Jim "JB" Brinson; and numerous nieces, nephews, and other relatives.

Friends may come celebrate Phill's life from 1-4 p.m. Sunday, September 14, 2025, at Groff Funeral Homes & Crematory, 1607 E. Perkins Ave., Sandusky. Groff Funeral Homes & Crematory is assisting family with arrangements.
