R. Michael Burdue, 68, of Lorain, passed away Wednesday, Aug. 17, 2022, at his home with his loving family by his side.

He was born Sept. 16, 1953, in Norwalk, to Ralph Ellsworth and Shirley Ann (nee Carter) Burdue. He was a 1971 graduate of Edison-EHOVE Career Center in Milan, where he studied data processing. Mike worked at Glidden Paints, Tenneco, Whirlpool, and Alpco, before ending his career at Rockwell Metals, where he was a master scheduler. He was a member of the former Milan Rod and Gun Club in Milan. Mike enjoyed riding his Harley, hiking, fishing, camping, traveling, and NASCAR, but most of all, spending time with his family.

He is survived by his loving spouse of 22 years, Cathy Hollohazy; four children, Amanda Mesenburg, Melissa (Jimmy) Roe, Ashley Horn, and Ryan (Laura) Hollohazy; six grandchildren; and brother, Guy-Lynn Burdue.

Michael was preceded in death by his parents, Ralph and Shirley Burdue.

Mike's family would like to thank Hospice of the Western Reserve for their kindness, care, and compassion that they offered Mike.

All services are private. Inurnment will be at a later date at Meadow Green Memorial Park Cemetery, Huron.

Arrangements are being handled by Reidy-Scanlan-Giovannazzo Funeral & Cremation Services, Lorain.

Donations may be made in Mike's memory to The ALS Association Northern Ohio Chapter, 6133 Rockside Rd # 301, Independence, Ohio, 44131.
