Geneva
R. Alan Collingwood of Geneva passed away Friday, March 24, 2023, at University Hospital, Chardon, after a lengthy illness.
He was born Oct. 7, 1963, in Findlay, to Richard J. and Barbara A. Collingwood where he lived until he moved with his family to Milan in 1973. He graduated from Edison High School and attended Case Western University. He was employed as a robotics engineer until his retirement.
He is survived by his wife, Sarah; parents; sisters, Anne (Denis) Bleile, Heather Plue, and Jennifer (Victor) DiAngelo; and several nieces and nephews.
Per Alan's wishes, there will be no visitation.
Memorial services will be private.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Behm Family Funeral Homes, Madison.
Memorials, if desired, may be made to Citizenship and Education Foundation of Edison Local Schools, 140 S. Main St., Milan, Ohio, 44846, or to the donor's favorite charity.

Alan was a good friend on-line we met years ago playing spades. He felt sorry for me and tried to teach me now to play better but, it never worked. we heard alot about the cats lol used to tease him about that , Our group still misses him .dont know if will ever be the same. so sorry for you and yours.

Alan is greatly missed by all of his Spade Card friends. He was a great player! set up a great on-going tournament for years for us and definately tried to keep the peace for all of us to enjoy the game. Condolances Sarah and to his parents Barb and Richard and siblings. Prayers for comfort for all of us who knew him. He is missed.
