Sullivan
Rachael A. "Rae" Galloway, 34, of Sullivan, left this life for the next Sunday, Sept. 22, 2024.
Rachael, fondly known as Rae to her family and friends, was born Oct. 21, 1989, to Brett Galloway and Debbie (Sword) Galloway. Rae brought to this world a spunky little spirit, an infectious laugh, and a smile brighter than the brightest star.
Rae attended both Mapleton and Wellington School districts, where she played softball. Rae graduated from Wellington High School in 2008 and from Lorain County Community College in 2011. Rae managed the ice cream shop in Sullivan for a short time before starting her career at PNC Bank in Ashland in 2016. Rae flourished in her job there, rising from teller to lead teller to banker.
Growing up on the family farm in Nova before moving to Wellington, Rae gained a love for animals. She participated in 4-H growing up. Rae still went back to the farm to do chores and was passing on a love for farming to her kids, taking them with her to teach them the ropes. Rae's kids were her pride and joy and she loved being an aunt to her nephews and nieces. Rae loved doing things with all the kids, making core memories that will last a lifetime with them all. Rae loved to plant a garden and can her harvest.
Left to cherish her memories with Rae are her companion of 11 years, Eric Tamburin of Sullivan; kids and lights of her life, Lincoln and Vivian Tamburin at home; parents; brother, Chase Galloway of Nova and his kids, Boyd, Ryder, Mabel, Millie, and Maeryn Galloway; sister-in-law, Brooke Galloway; grandparents, Dick and Janice Galloway of Berlin Heights; Eric's mom, Dodi Paige, and his siblings, Jeremy Vitovitz, Michael Tamburin, Ashley Tamburin, and Ronnie Waggoner; and a whole host of aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Rae was preceded in death by her grandmother, Carrie Sword; and uncle, Kevin Jordan with whom she shared very special relationships.
Rae, we will never forget your independent, spunky spirit, your giggle that rippled through every group made everyone else giggle, and your beautiful, radiant smile. We will keep a look out in the sky for the brightest star twinkling down on us and we'll know it's you, smiling down at us. We love you to the moon and back, Rae!
Visitation for friends and family will be 3-7 p.m. Friday, Sept. 27, 2024, at Norton-Eastman Funeral Home, 370 South Main Street, Wellington. Rae's services will be 11 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 28, 2024, at the funeral home. Burial will follow the service at Nova Cemetery.
