Ramona Jean Bauer, beloved wife, mother, grandma, nana, meme, gigi, and nanny, 83, of Marblehead, joined the Lord Friday, May 23, 2025.
Ramona was born in Sulphur Springs, Ohio, to Herrietta (Greene) and Myron Eichelberger. Ramona graduated from Crestline High School in 1959. She married the love of her life, John Bauer, in 1957, with whom she built a beautiful life and was happily married for 67 years.
Ramona had a green thumb and enjoyed caring for her flowers and plants. Ramona and John spent 31 winters in Florida, where she enjoyed the sunshine, beach walks, and bocce ball. She had fun playing cards and rooting for the Cleveland Indians. She deeply loved her family and her beloved fur babies.
She is survived by her husband, John Bauer; daughter, Sherry Law (Chad) of Milan; son, Jeffrey Bauer (Dina) of Vermilion; son-in-law, Michael Wise of Crestline; brother, Rex Eichelberger of Crestline; eight grandchildren, Jennifer Law, Matthew Law, Ashley Law-Erhardt, Drew Bauer, Jade Anderson, Shannon Blocker, Jeremy Wise, and Brandon Wise; 14 great-grandchildren, Finnegan Blocker, Henry Blocker, Madison Wise, Sam Wise, Max Wise, Taylor Laughlin, Aiden Law, Alexander Law, Arthur Law, Augustino Law, River Erhardt, Stowe Bauer, Lawrence Anderson IV, and Cooper Anderson; and two great-great grandchildren, Tobias Ross and Mavis Ross.
She was preceded in death by her daughter, Tamara Wise; sister, Sandra LeMaster; brother, Max Eichelberger; nephew, Chad Eichelberger; and her parents.
Calling hours will be from 11 a.m. until time of service at 1 p.m. Wednesday, May 28, 2025, at Gompf Funeral Service – Crestline Chapel, 223 W. Main St., Crestline, Ohio 44827. Burial immediately following at Greenlawn Cemetery, Crestline.
Memorial donations can be made to Greenlawn Cemetery, 1119 County Line Road, Crestline, Ohio 44827.

We have been fortunate enough to have lived across a channel from John and Ramona for a number of years. They have a beautiful family, and their yard is always perfect. She truly had a talent for growing and maintaining plants and flowers. Our condolences to John and their family. She will be sorely missed!

John, Jackie and I are so sorry to hear of Ramona´s passing. The last time we saw her she was lounging in your backyard in Florida and we had a very nice conversation. She has always been very friendly and warm and we will miss her.

So sorry to hear this. I know people say that she is in a better place. I always say it´s better for her but not for us. Sandy is having some health issues so we probably won´t make it to the funeral, but you are definitely in our thoughts and prayers.
