Retha "Pauline" Giles
Aug 9, 1936 - Jul 13, 2025
Sandusky
Sunday, July 13, 2025, heaven got even brighter when Retha "Pauline" Giles went home to be with her Lord and Savior, and she is now reunited with her husband, Everett.
She was born in Waynesville, West Virginia, August 9 1936, to Christopher and Velva Mullens. Pauline married her forever love, Everett R. Giles September 20, 1952. They were married for 69 years. She loved working at American Crayon and Hinde and Dauch, WestVa Co. She was a loving and giving wife and mother, and loved spending time singing to worship Jesus. She loved to garden, can, cook, and bake biscuits. Pauline was humble, kind, and loving, and the "best listener" anyone could ever meet. She loved unconditionally!
Her family was her pride and joy, including five children who will dearly miss her, Kathie (Allan, deceased) Mueller, Carol Hay (Donald Hay Jr., deceased), Allen Giles, Tim (Lisa) Giles, and Rodney Giles. Her eight grandchildren include, Carrie Lane, Rob (Cali) Griggs, Corey (Angel) Hay, Jessica Ryan Hay Springer, Jennifer Hay, Jared (Melissa) Mueller, Carlene (Brad) Bibb, and Madison Trimble. 19 great-grandchildren, Bradley Griggs, Donovan Glock, Garrett Glock, Sasha Haas, Zachary Haas, Adalynn Haas, Shianna (Tanner) Wood, Dakota Hay, Damion Hay, Devon Hay, Jayda Springer, Jaxen Springer, Makyah (Derek) Yeager, Meridian (Austin) Caster, Taytum Bibb, Brayleigh Bibb, Ameliah Bibb, Isaac Bibb, and Ezekiel Bibb. 13 great-great-grandchildren, Jayce Griggs, Raegan Griggs, Josephine Glock, Rhett Glock, RosaLee Wood, Tanner Wood, Haydon Wood, Benson Caster, Colton Everett Caster, Kamden Caster, Zoey Yeager, Roman Yeager, and Devlynn Hay; her brother, Grover Mullins, and many nieces and nephews.
She is a shining example of what God's love is in the world. We, as a family, and all those who know her, are blessed to the fullest. Her family only hopes now that we have blessed her anywhere near as much as she has blessed us.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Everett R. Giles, November 10, 2021, and he is deeply missed; her sister, Erma; and brother, Golden; sisters-in-law; brothers-in-law; nieces and nephews; and granddaughter, Mercedes Hay.
Friends may call from 9:30 a.m. until time of services at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, July 19, 2025, at Ransom Funeral & Cremation Service, 610 S. Washington St., Castalia. Pastor Neil Hawkins will officiate. Burial will be at Castalia Cemetery.
Pauline's family express deep appreciation to the amazing staff at The Meadows at Osborn Park Care Center, and to First Health Hospice for their love and care of Mom during her brief illness.
