Rita Marie Rengel, 84, residing in Sandusky, passed away Friday, July 25, 2024, at Metro Health Medical Center after a brief illness.
She was Feb. 23, 1940, in Sandusky, to Raymond and Marie Rengel (Beverick).
Rita graduated from St. Mary Central Catholic School in 1958. She was employed as a Laborer at American Crayon for 44 years. Rita was a member of St. Mary's Church and in her spare time, she enjoyed bowling and was a member of the Star Lanes bowling league for decades.
Rita is survived by her niece, Angela Delius of Sandusky; and brother-in-law, Robert Delius of Sandusky.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and sister, Nancy Delius.
Visitation for friends will be 4-7 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 7, 2024, at Groff Funeral Homes & Crematory, 1607 E. Perkins Ave., Sandusky. Prayer services will be 9:30 a.m. Thursday, Aug. 8, 2024, at the funeral home followed by Mass of Christian burial at 10 a.m. at St. Mary's Church, 429 Central Ave., Sandusky. Burial will take place at Calvary Cemetery, 2020 Stanford St., Sandusky.
