Robert Joseph "Bob" DiCarlo, 74, of Vermilion, died Friday, June 16, 2023, at Mill Manor Nursing Home after a lengthy illness.
He was born Oct. 11, 1948, in Cleveland, and had been a Vermilion resident for the past 58 years, moving from Cleveland.
Bob started his career as a chef at Lorain Country Club and then worked for Elyria Country Club as a Stewart. He then worked for over 20 years as Service Manager for Harbor North Marina.
He was a member and Vice President of Lake Shore Corvettes. He received his Captains License and enjoyed boating, cars (especially Corvettes), and he was an avid reader.
He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Anna Katherine (nee Osborn) DiCarlo of Vermilion; and sister, Sandra DiCarlo of Vermilion.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Joseph and Margaret (nee Mascarella) DiCarlo.
Visitation will be 1-3 and 5-7 p.m. Wednesday, June 21, 2023, at Riddle Funeral Home, 5345 South Street, Vermilion. Bob's funeral will be 11 a.m. Thursday, June 22, 2023, at the funeral home. Interment will follow at Maple Grove Cemetery, Vermilion.
The family suggests memorial contributions to American Diabetes Association, 5700 Brecksville Rd. 3rd Floor, Independence, Ohio, 44131.
