Robert W. Fox, Sr., Ret. Lt. Col., born August 21, 1933, in Fremont, passed away Sunday, March 30, 2025. Bob was a beloved father, grandfather, and friend. Bob was a lifelong resident of Clyde, where he was a respected member of the community. He was widowed, having been married December 26, 1955, to his dear wife, Mary (Snyder), who preceded him in death in 2000.

Bob was an accomplished pilot who dedicated much of his life to his passion for aviation. He started flying at age 14 and spent his professional career in the skies. He served his country for over 20 years as a strategic bomber in the US Air Force, retiring as a Lieutenant Colonel in 1974. He then went on to work for Griffin Flight Services in Sandusky, where he flew charter flights for various businesses and individuals in the area. After amassing more than 57,000 hours in the air, he retired in 1994. Bob enjoyed reading, boating, fishing, and traveling with Mary when he wasn't working. He was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church in Clyde.

Bob is survived by his sons, Bob (Mark Osborn) Fox Jr. of Ft Worth, Texas, Chris (Linda) Fox of Port Clinton, Greg Fox of Clyde, Tom (Jill) Fox of Fremont, and Jim Fox of Clyde; his grandchildren, Marianne (Bill) Smith, Michael Fox, Matthew (Alexis) Fox, Bryan (Katie) Fox, and Elizabeth (Justin) Walter; along with eight great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Mary; son, Mark; parents, Rudolph and Rose Fox; brothers, Paul and Walter; and sisters, Genevieve Imler, Emma Foos, and Marie Kaspar.

Visitation will be Friday, April 4, 2025, at 9:30 a.m. at Auxter-Recker Funeral Home, 218 S. Main St, Clyde, OH, 43410. Funeral Mass will follow at 11 a.m. at St. Mary Catholic Church, 609 Vine St, Clyde, OH, 43410. Graveside services with military honors will then take place at St. Mary Cemetery.
