Robert Lyndon Galindo, 65, of Sandusky, died Tuesday, Sept. 27, 2022, at Stein Hospice Care Center.

He was born Jan. 7, 1957, in Sandusky, to the late William and Ruth (Rodriguez) Galindo.

He was a veteran of U.S. Army, where he received the Good Conduct Medal, Service Ribbon, and Overseas Service Ribbon. Robert lived in Castalia and Elyria before moving back to Sandusky.

He was employed by Toft Dairy for over 20 years.

Robert was an excellent husband, dad, and Papa. He had a passion for cooking, cooking in the Army and several area restaurants. He was known to his family as "Bad Apple" because he loved taking things apart and putting them back together. He also was a Cleveland Browns, NASCAR, and Michigan football fan.

He is survived by his wife of 34 years, Trudy (Mautz) Galindo; children, Derrick Galindo, Angela (Matthew) Clark, and Leah Galindo, all of Sandusky, Roberta (Peter) Heston and Melissa Galindo, both of Elyria, and Daniel (Emmy) Gruver Galindo and Jennifer Galindo, both of Berwick, Pennsylvania; 12 grandchildren; siblings, Jaci (Ken) Burmeister, Chrissy Galindo Barnette, and Jeanie (Brad) Linton, all of Sandusky, Raymond (Carla) Galindo and Richard (Marianne) Galindo, both of Elyria, Ronnie (Gail) Galindo of Lorain, Bonnie Lane of Cleves, Ohio, Bill Galindo of Castalia, Mary Schoenberger of Shawnee, Kansas, and James Adams of Norwalk; sister-in-law, Debbie Galindo of Pensacola, Florida; and several nieces, nephews, and many others and he loved them all.

He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Russell Galindo; sister, Bernadina in infancy; brother-in-law, Chuck Lane; and other family members.

At his request, cremation will take place and there will be no services.
