Robert Stower Obituary

Robert Walter Stower

Dec 15, 1950 - Mar 5, 2025

Norwalk

Robert W. "Bob" Stower, 74, of Norwalk, passed away peacefully at his home on Wednesday, March 5, 2025, after a two-year battle with multiple cancers. He was born on December 15, 1950, in Norwalk to the late Robert C. and Mildred E. (Sweet) Stower. Bob attended Norwalk High School, then Milan High School, graduating as part of the first high school class from Edison High School in 1969.

He was a Parts and Service Manager at the former Martin Motor Sales in Norwalk, and Service Manager at the former Service Garage, retiring from ODOT.

Bob had the kindest heart and would do anything for anyone in need. He loved to be in the company of his family and friends, especially his granddaughter, Emma. Their many trips to area parks, coffee shops, and other excursions, made for incredible memories. He loved football and sprint car racing and was a T-ball coach for many years. Bob was a member of the Norwalk Eagles and V.F.W.

Bob is survived by his loving wife of 52 years, Linda (Duncan) Stower; their daughter, Paige (Bill) Foltz of Norwalk; granddaughter, Emma Kathleen Foltz; brothers, James Stower of Milan, Craig (Carol) Stower of Findlay; aunts, Carol Langer and Ruth Kromer; several nieces and nephews and "Maxine", his faithful, four-legged friend.

In addition to his parents, Bob was preceded in death by his brother, Dennis G. Stower.

Bob had requested that everyone attending his services, "come casual, and no suits and ties at my funeral".

Friends and family are invited from 10 a.m. until time of the 11 a.m. funeral service Friday, March 14, 2025, at Walker-Eastman-Heydinger Funeral Home, 98 W. Main St., Norwalk Friday, with the Rev. Eric Schild leading services. Burial will follow at Milan Cemetery.

Memorial contribu-tions may be directed to Huron County Humane Society, 246 Woodlawn Ave., Norwalk, OH 44857.

Bob was a good man and friend. He will be missed by a lot of people. He was a caring man who would give you the shirt off his back if you needed it. It was an honor to say that he was my friend. I pray for his family. I cherished them very much. God bless you Bobby.

Bob was just an all around great family, friend guy. Smile on his face. Like any Stower he could talk.
