Ronald Johnson Obituary

Ronald Charles Johnson Jr.

Apr 30, 1967 - Mar 29, 2025

Lorain

Ronald Charles Johnson Jr., 57, of Lorain, passed away Saturday, March 29, 2025, at his home, surrounded by family, after a courageous battle with cancer.

Born April 30, 1967, in Sandusky, he was the son of the late Ronald C. Sr. and Mary Lou (Leslie) Johnson. Ron was a 1985 graduate of Sandusky High School and worked for over 30 years as a master auto technician. He later worked at Ardagh Metal Packing in Huron.

Ron had a deep love for his Jeep, and he attended rock concerts and went hunting and fishing with his family. He was also a gifted handyman and artist, often spending his time on DIY projects, painting, drawing, and woodworking. His love for fixing things and creativity were things he shared with his children. Ron also had a special bond with his dogs, Roxy, and his beabulls, Dozer, Lacey, and Clarice, who were a great source of joy to him.

Ronald is survived by his three children, Ashley (David) Mills, Tiffany (Ken) Marks and Travis Johnson; six grandchildren, Adrianna, Anthony, Connor, Braelynn, Bryson, and Callie; four siblings, Beverly Sims, Michael (Melissa) Johnson, Jason (Cathy) Johnson, and Phillip Johnson; and numerous nieces, nephews, and other relatives.

A Celebration of Life will be from 4-7 p.m. Thursday, April 3, 2025, at Groff Funeral Homes & Crematory, 1607 E. Perkins Ave., Sandusky.

I remember Ron Jon from him growing up. I was friends with Ronnie and Mary Lou. Going to their baseball games and playing volleyball at his Aunt Judy's house with all his cousins. Ron Jon and his brothers sure could eat! They always made me laugh.
