Rosemary Lannen, 97, of Port Clinton, passed away Tuesday, November 11, 2025, at Edgewood Manor Nursing Center in Port Clinton. She was born July 27, 1928, in Fostoria, the daughter of Frank and Cora (Martin) Brickner.
She graduated from St. Wendelin High School in 1946, where she was a cheerleader and salutatorian of her graduation class. She worked in the office of Flechtner's Bros. Meat Plant. She married James Lannen in 1947, and they moved to Port Clinton in 1955 when he was employed by American Bank, and during that time she worked at Midland Title Company and Port Clinton School Library.
She was a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, Rosary Altar Society, and a hospitality minister for many years.
Rosemary was a life member of Magruder Hospital Auxiliary and a volunteer at the hospital for many years, earning a 2300-hour pin. She also served as volunteer chairwoman of Red Cross Bloodmobile from 1981-1986. She was a member of Silver Steppers line dance group for 13 years and Port Clinton Ladies Golf League.
Her hobbies were golfing, playing cards, painting pictures, reading, playing the organ, and birdwatching.
She is survived by her son, Steve, of Port Clinton, along with several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, James; brother, Robert Brickner; and sisters, Loretta Ball and Dorothy Cole.
Visitation will be from 2-4 p.m. Sunday, November 16, 2025, at Gerner-Wolf-Walker Funeral Home, 216 Washington Street, Port Clinton. Funeral Mass will begin at 10 a.m. Monday, November 17, 2025, at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, 414 Madison Street, Port Clinton, with the Rev. Jonathan Wight officiating. Burial will follow at Catawba Island Cemetery.
Memorial contribu-tions may be made to Immaculate Conception Catholic Church or Ida Rupp Public Library, 310 Madison Street, Port Clinton, Ohio 43452.
