Russell "Russ" DeLiberto, 81, of Mishawaka, Indiana, and formerly of Bellevue, passed away Thursday, July 13, 2023, at Memorial Hospital in South Bend, Indiana, from a lengthy illness.
He was born Sept. 14, 1941, in Bellevue, to Paul and Lucille (Moscorelli) DeLiberto. He graduated from Bellevue High School. He was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Mishawaka and former member of Immaculate Conception Church in Bellevue. He worked at American Sunspace, Inc. in Elkhart, Indiana. Russ had a "gift of gab," as he enjoyed conversing with family, friends, customers, and strangers. Through the years, Russ owned several Cadillacs as this was his favorite car model.
Russell is survived by his spouse, Rose of Mishawaka; adopted granddaughter, Kendall of Mishawaka; daughter, Gloria (Steven) Ayres of New Albany, Ohio; sister, Carma McGuire of Bellevue; sister-in-law, Nancy DeLiberto of North Carolina; and many extended family members.
Russell was preceded in death by his parents; sisters, Ignatia Trapp and Theresa Shoemaker; brother, Carl DeLiberto; former wife, Kay A. (Ritter) DeLiberto; brothers-in-law, Edward Raschke, Robert McGuire, George E. Trapp, and Paul Shoemaker; and nephew, George J. Trapp.
No funeral will take place.

It was certainly sad to hear the news of Russell´s passing. Kind thoughts and prayers are going out for Carma, Gloria, and their extended families. May God provide strength and comfort for the difficult days ahead, and fond memories for the years to come.
