Sandusky
Samuel Craig Glorioso, 74, of Sandusky, passed away Friday, September 19, 2025, at Firelands Regional Medical Center.
He was born June 15, 1951, in Sandusky, to Samuel and Charlene (Fox) Glorioso.
Samuel graduated from Sandusky High School and also attended Lorain Community College. He was a musician for most of his life as a drummer for Cold Sweat and Rick Ray Band. Sam was a member of the Musicians' Union. In his spare time, he enjoyed playing the drums, spending time with his family, his dog, Snoop, and vacationing in Florida to snorkel in Key West.
Samuel is survived by his wife, Barbara, whom he married July 7, 1972. He is also survived by his sons, Carmine Glorioso of Sandusky and Samuel Glorioso Jr. of Lorain; six grandchildren; sister, Cynthia (Carl) Blazik of Sandusky; and several nieces, nephews, and other relatives.
Sam was preceded in death by his parents.
At his request, cremation has taken place, and there are no scheduled services at this time.
Those wishing to contribute to Samuel's memory may do so to the family to assist with expenses.

I had just turned 20. I was at my parents home in Huron when I noticed a car pull up out front. I could see Dan Spohr get out and then I saw Sam Glorioso who I knew from the musicians union. When the guys came in, they said they were looking for a new guitar player for their band. I jumped at the chance, and within six months, our band was being promoted on CKLW radio in Windsor Ontario, and that station was heard in 38 states and half of Canada. The band, Cold Sweat, was an education. We played everything from Rolling Stones to Jimi Hendrix and Led Zepplin. That band got respect and I appreciated that opportunity more than I can say. Thanks Sam, and Dan. I had a nice career and loved every minute of it.

Sam, I'll always be grateful that you invited me to join Cold Sweat. It was the best experience I could have had to start my music career. Thanks for all your hard work back in the day. RIP my friend.
