Sandra K. Stewart 73, Sandusky, went home to be with the Lord on Friday, June 24, 2022, in Stein Hospice Care Center.
She was born in Vickery, OH on December 30, 1948, to then late Vernet and Flora Mae (Pfaff) Kardotzke Sr.
Sandy retired from the Ohio Veterans Home after 31 years.
She loved baking, gospel music, going to Amish Country, and especially being with her grandchildren.
She is survived by her sons, Randy (Cheryl) Stewart, James Stewart, Jerald Stewart, and Chaz Price; daughters, Sallie Stewart, and Wendy Price Kiser; grandchildren, Randy (Claire Willer) Stewart Jr., Michelle (Joshua Melson) Davis, Samantha (Jacob) Buchanan, Kymberli (EJ) Tenant, Amber (Gavin Pigman) Stewart, and Amanda Stewart; great-grandchildren, Ryleigh Streng, Isabella Davis, Jaidyn Streng, Maddie Tennant, Landon Livas, Emily Hines, Abby Stewart, and Avery Stewart; sisters, JoAnn Curless and Karen Kardotzke; sister-in-law, Wilma Kardotzke; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Jesse Stewart; parents; grandson, Michael Stewart; brothers, Jack Giedeman, Ronald Giedeman, Richard Giedeman, and Vernet Kardotzke Jr.; sisters, Donna Clouse, Verna Moore, and Pattie Geary.
Friends may call on Wednesday, June 29, 2022, from 2-4 and 6-8 P.M. in Toft Funeral Home & Crematory, 2001 Columbus Ave., Sandusky. Funeral services will be held Thursday at 11 A.M. at the funeral home. Burial will follow in Castalia Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made in Sandra's name to Cancer Services of Erie County, 505 E. Perkins Ave., Sandusky, OH 44870. Condolences may be made to the family by visiting toftfuneralhome.com.
