Sherman "Sherm" Carl French, 73, of Port Clinton, passed away Sunday, Oct. 16, 2022, at Parkview Care Center, Fremont.
He was born Dec. 16, 1948, in Port Clinton, to Arthur and Eleanor (Prokop) French.
Sherman was a mason by trade and was partner at Burr and French Masonry Contractors. He also worked as a custodian for Port Clinton City School and was a member of Immaculate Conception Church, Port Clinton.
Sherman is survived by his aunt, Dorothy Prokop; good friends, George (Joan) Hurrell; and was like an uncle to George Hurrell III and Joanna (Nicholas) Duquette, M.D.
Visitation will be 10-11 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 22, 2022, at Gerner-Wolf-Walker Funeral Home, 216 Washington Street, Port Clinton. Sherman's funeral will be 11 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home. Interment will follow at Riverview Cemetery, Port Clinton.
Memorial contributions may be directed to Immaculate Conception Church, Port Clinton.
