Sherry Madeline (Maroni) Frantz, 78, residing in Sandusky, passed away Tuesday morning, January 14, 2025, with her daughters by her side at Stein Hospice Care Center after a brief illness.

Sherry was born November 14, 1946, in Sandusky to the late Frank Maroni and Marian (Timassy) Kuhn.

Sherry was a 1964 graduate of Sandusky High School. She was employed at Good Samaritan Hospital and retired from Firelands Regional Medical Center, where she worked in the billing department after 25 years of service. She enjoyed gardening, cooking, NASCAR, Elvis, taking care of her many furry friends and spending time with her family and friends.

Sherry is survived by her two daughters, Tracy Frantz and Tammy (Bob) Sennish; grandchildren, Brianna, Nick (Eris), Logan, Mackenzie and Zach; and her great-granddaughter, Monroe, who she loved and adored so very much; and numerous nieces, nephews, and other relatives.

In addition to her parents, Sherry is preceded in death by her brother, David Hahn; and her stepfather, Marvin Kuhn.

A Celebration of Life will be announced at a later date and burial will take place at Oakland Cemetery. Groff Funeral Homes & Crematory will be assisting the family with arrangements.

Those wishing to contribute to Sherry's memory may do so to Stein Hospice Services, 1200 Sycamore Line Sandusky Ohio 44870 or Humane Society of Erie County, 1911 Superior Street Sandusky, Ohio 44870.

The family would like to thank Fisher Titus Medical Center and Stein Hospice for their care and compassion. Also special thanks to the staff and residents of Orchard Grove Assisted Living who made her last few months so pleasant and enjoyable.
