Stephen "Steve" T. Oblender, 83, of Milan, passed away Friday, January 30, 2026, at Fisher-Titus Medical Center in Norwalk.
He was born May 9, 1942, to George and Kathryne (Burriel) Oblender in Norwalk. He was a graduate of Norwalk High School, served in the US Air Force and worked for the City of Norwalk Fire Department. He also served as Commissioner of the Huron County Veteran Service office.
He is survived by his wife, Betty, of Milan; sons, Charles Oblender and John Oblender; and special friend, Mary Lou Berger.
He was preceded in death by his parents and son, Ken G. Oblender, in 2021.
All are invited and free to wear Harley Davidson or casual attire.
Visitation for family and friends will be 11 a.m.-1 p.m. Friday, February 6, 2026, at Evans Funeral Home, 314 E Main Street, Norwalk. A procession will follow to Woodlawn Cemetery, where honors will be presented by Norwalk Fire Department and military at the graveside. A luncheon will follow at American Legion.
Memorial contribu-tions may be sent to Norwalk Fire Department or Huron County Veterans Commission.
