Stewart J. Mattox, 73, of Sandusky, passed away Tuesday, January 21, 2025, at home after a lengthy illness.

He was born November 21, 1951, in Dothan, Alabama, to Barney and Marilyn (Johnson) Mattox.

Stewart graduated from Palatka High School in Florida. He was a fiberglass technician at Raindrop Manufacturing, making splash pads for water parks. In his spare time, he enjoyed playing guitar and singing and was a member of the band Skeeter Flats. He also enjoyed golfing and fishing and was an OSU and Cincinnati Bengals fan. He loved his fur babies, Gizmo, Peanut, Hopper, and Kaboodles.

Stewart is survived by his wife, Rhonda, whom he married April 1, 1999. He is also survived by his children, Justin Musick, Mylan Mattox, Charlotte Mattox, and Mandy Mattox; sisters, Susan (Kenny) Eubanks, Peggy (Ed) Bixby, and Mary (Marcie) Bozeman, mother in law; Carrie Burns, several grandchildren; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and other relatives.

In addition to his parents; Stewart was preceded in death by sister, Linda Strickland; brothers, Christopher Mattox and James Ray "Tuffy" Mattox.

At Stewart's request, there will be no services.
