Sue Cheek, 73, of Bellevue passed away Wednesday, July 5, 2023, at her home surrounded by her family.

She was born Oct. 25, 1949, in Lafayette, Indiana, the daughter of Sewell and Bernice (Bowman) Roark.

Sue worked at Industrial Powder Coatings in Norwalk and Bellevue Care Center. Sue was a hard worker, devoted mother and grandmother, and cherished her time with her grandchildren.

Sue married James M. Cheek on June 23, 1969, in Tazewell, Tennessee. He survives along with their two children, Pam (Bill) Heimbaugh of Bellevue and James Brian (Leslie) Cheek of Monroeville; grandchildren, Toni (Curt) Featheringill of Willard, Glenn Young, Amanda (Keagan) Omara, Ashley Young, and Ahren Young; seven great-grandchildren; sister, Kathy Love; and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; and siblings.

A celebration of life will be announced at a later date.
