Susan Yetter Obituary

Susan Denise Yetter

Sep 9, 1955 - Nov 1, 2022

Vickery

Susan Denise Yetter, 67, residing in Vickery, passed away Tuesday morning, Nov. 1, 2022, at Stein Hospice Care Center following a brief illness.

Susan was born Sept. 9, 1955, in Sandusky, to the late Ernest P. and Lillian Ruth (Frederick) Yetter.

Susan graduated from Margaretta High School in 1973 and received her associate's degree in graphic arts from Terra Tech. She worked at a variety of manufacturing plants creating graphic design materials and eventually retired from Whirlpool in Clyde in 2020. Susan was a member of Grace Lutheran Church, Castalia. Susan loved animals and had many pets throughout her lifetime. She enjoyed gardening and caring for her house plants. She liked attending a good rummage sale or auction and she was an excellent cook who was appreciated by her friends and family for her canned salsas. Her greatest joy though, was being the "fun aunt" to all her nieces and nephews, planning games and fun activities at family gatherings.

Susan is survived by her sister, Sandy (Jeff) Nemitz of Castalia; brothers, Marc (Ann) Yetter of Wakeman, and Matt (Lynne) Yetter and David (Holly) Yetter, both of Vickery; 13 nieces and nephews; 28 great-nieces and great-nephews; and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Private family services will take place. Burial will be at a later date at Castalia Cemetery. Groff Funeral Homes & Crematory is assisting family with arrangements.

Those wishing to contribute to Susan's memory may do so to Stein Hospice Services, 1200 Sycamore Line, Sandusky, Ohio, 44870, or to one's favorite charity.

Our deepest sympathy to the entire Yetter families. I always remember her laugh when we were in highschool.

Susie was incredibly creative, had very strong work ethics, loved her family, was an excellent cook and baker/cake decorator, loved her pets, had a beautiful smile, was quick witted, and was a talented graphic artist. She had two green thumbs because her plants always grew splendidly. Everything Susie did, she did well. She was never late. She enjoyed canning the bounties from her garden, creating an array of colors in her pantry with jars labeled and perfectly aligned. Susie was my lifelong best friend. God's speed to you, Susie, on this... your grand, new adventure. I love you, friend.
