Takirah Leara Brown-Skelton, 22, Sandusky, went to be with the Lord on Sunday, April, 9, 2023, at her home.

Takirah was born Feb. 20, 2001, in Sandusky, to Tangela (Samuel) Davis and Keevyn Skelton Jr. and graduated from Sandusky High School in 2019.

"Kira" as she was called, loved singing, rapping, dancing, being on social media, fashion, getting her nails done, and having a good time with her family and friends. She could always be found with a big smile on her face. She was previously employed at Sawmill Creek, Huron, and Victory Kitchen, Sandusky.

Takirah leaves to cherish her memory her parents, Tangela and Samuel Davis; father, Keevyn Skelton Jr.; siblings, Uncue (NeNe) Brown of Columbus, and Tykijajuan (TJ) Brown, Keyona (Eddie) Fleming, Iantha (Hyatt) Norrup, and Keevyn Skelton III, all of Sandusky; grandparents, Peggy and Keevyn Skelton Sr.; great-grandmother, Betty Churchwell; nine nieces and nephews, Adriel, Ashton, Ava, Ayden, Elliot, Kaliana, Karielle (Bella), Taiya, and Victoria, whom she loved dearly; and many aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends who will all miss her very much.

She was preceded in death by her grandmother, Debra Churchwell; grandfather, Calvin Brown; great-grandmother, Betty Skelton; great-grandfather, William Churchwell; and uncle, Calvin Churchwell Sr.

Visitation will be 10 a.m. Saturday, April 22, 2023, until the time of Takirah's funeral at 12 p.m. at Ebenezer Baptist Church, 1215 Pierce St., Sandusky. Minister Howard Carr will officiate.
