Thomas Lee "Tom" Cikotte, 71, of Berlin Heights, passed away peacefully Monday, April 10, 2023, at his home in Berlin Heights.

He was born Feb. 8, 1952, in Cleveland, to Leonard and Agnes (Sedlack) Cikotte. He graduated from North Olmsted High.

He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Kathlene (Saunders) Cikotte; sister, Christine (Gurda); brother, Leonard; son, Thomas; and daughter, Jessica (Cikotte) Melms and her three children.

Tom was always known for his ability to make people laugh, often at himself, his antics, or his notoriously quick wit. Each of his friends will be sure to share a story about some crazy situation they shared, often to the point of laughing to tears. Tom was also plagued with a long history of medical complications and never fully recovered from being struck by a vehicle as a pedestrian in 1994. His life was never the same after that, but he was able to find joy in his family and his love for animals, having owned dogs, cats, alpacas, a llama, and several horses in his later years. Known as a curmudgeon by some, Tom was loved deeply by those he held closest and he will be missed.

Due to COVID related issues, the family is planning a private memorial to take place at a later date.
