Thomas "Tom" Kerr, 78, of Sandusky, passed away peacefully following a sudden illness Oct. 19, 2024, in providence Care Center.
He was born July 3, 1946, in Cygnet.
Tom was a retired and proud postal worker. He found so much joy in his great-granddaughter, Gracie. If you knew Tom, you could appreciate his stubbornness, humor, and the kind and giving person he was. He loved to travel and found himself living in many different states throughout his life. He cared deeply for his family and friends and had many great relationships with many great people.
Tom is survived by his daughter, Kim Kerr (Dre Roberts) of Sandusky; grandsons, Kaine M. Kerr (Heather) of Sandusky, and Deon T. Kerr (Jenna) of Elizabeth City, North Carolina; great-granddaughter, Gracie Kerr of Sandusky; brother, Todd Kerr (Karen) of Cygnet; sisters, Debra Kerr of Glouster, Ohio, Brenda Trimble, of Findlay, Ohio, and Joyce Lee, of Findlay; many nieces; and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Elizabeth (Betty Sue Slane) Kerr and Marion E. Kerr; brothers, Marion Kerr (Sharon), and Terry Kerr (Misako); sisters, Carol Lea Kerr Montague (Tom), and Linda Kerr Lindquist (Byron); and nephew, Craig Allen Kerr.
Per Tom's request, cremation will take place with no services.
Toft Funeral Home & Crematory, 2001 Columbus Ave., Sandusky, is handling arrangements.
