Timothy Ringle Obituary

Timothy Paul Ringle

Nov 19, 1950 - Apr 12, 2025

Milan, OH

Tim Ringle, AKA Haywood, 74, died Saturday, April 12, 2025 at his home after a lengthy illness.

He was born November 19, 1950, in Tiffin and graduated from Tiffin Columbian. Tim began his career at GE before working as a barber, a plant manager at Norwesco, and retired from CertainTeed.

Sports were a huge part of Tim's life. He was a die-hard fan of OSU and Detroit Lions and Tigers. He was proud to coach sports of all kinds after graduating high school. The highlight of his coaching career was coaching his kids in softball, baseball, and basketball. Tim loved fishing, particularly with his kids and grandkids; he also loved trips to the roulette table without them.

Above all, Tim loved having a full house: full of his family, his friends, his kids, and his kids' friends; he did not love the lack of parking.

He is survived by his wife, Shelley (Osterling); his children, Corey (Hannah) Ringle of Elyria, Chelsey (Corey) Doyle, of Urbana; and his beloved grandchildren, Max, Margot, Isla, and Owen. He's also survived by many other close nieces and nephews he loved dearly. And, of course, Tilly, his yellow lab.

Tim was preceded in death by his parents, Alvin and Kathryn (Lind) Ringle; his siblings, Mike Ringle, Mary Kay (Tom) Bean, and Patricia Motko.

Tim and his family want to thank the wonderful staff and nurses from Stein Hospice who worked so hard to keep him comfortable these past few months, particularly Lori and Denise. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Stein Hospice Center.

Tim was happy to say that after all these years, he's finally been accepted to The Ohio State University medical school, where he has proudly donated his body. A celebration of life will be in the summer, and details are to come. It will involve a house full of kids, good food, and baseball. O-H!
