Timothy Spurrier Obituary

Timothy J. SPURRIER

Aug 23, 2025

Huron

Timothy J. Spurrier, 63, passed away Saturday, August 23, 2025, following a brief illness. He was born in Lakewood to Ralph and Lois Spurrier and was the youngest of three boys.

Tim had a passion for boating and loved sharing stories about growing up on Lake Erie. He graduated from high school in the area and went on to become a chef at Berardi's restaurant in Huron.

Using his skills as a craftsman, Tim worked for his father-in-law, Don Gfell, assisting in the production and finishing of photographs. Most importantly, Tim cherished his time spent with family, which included a strong bond with various dogs over the years. He had a love for all things weather-related and enjoyed naming the family dogs to reflect his interests; most recently, he named a German Shepherd "Wind" and an Alaskan Malamute "Blizzard."

Tim was preceded in death by his parents, Ralph and Lois Spurrier and his father-in-law, Dan Gfell.

He is survived by his wife, Ann; his sons, Patrick, Mason, and Christian; his brothers, Paul and Cliff; and his mother-in-law, Roberta Gfell.

Tim's celebration of life will be from 1-4 p.m. Saturday, October 18, 2025, at Harbor House Restaurant, Main Street, Huron.
