So sorry to hear that Bill Sr. Passed away. He will always be remember by me. I met him when I was 14 years old. Their family then lived about 10 houses up the street from my family then. Whenever I went over to Bader's house, His mom, Josephine, would say to me, wouldn't you rather be in my house making cookies instead of outside with all those cars outside that were being built up by friends of Bill's to get ready to be raced. He always told me, that someday, he would own a Race Track. And sure enough, he did it.
His Mom was a beautiful person and his brother, Joe was a great guy. His Dad passed away at very young age. I still drive by that house with great memories of all of them. Prayers are with you always.
Sincerely,
Gloria (Pavicic) Simonson

I met him when I was 16 yrs old.. Im 63 now and the world has changed again with out him here. The things he taught me over the yrs about the character and nature of people and The racing industry will stay with me forever. I was lucky enough to have about a 1 hour conversation with him on my couch at my shop about a month or so ago... Never dreamed it would be my last. Thank you for your positive influence that you shared so generously.. God bless you Bill.. Im sure the lord is gonna get a kick out of you. God bless the entire Bader family. Don't worry jr.... You got this.. He was very proud of you and has all the confidence in the world in you. he told me so himself that day.

Bill wasn't just a friend he was our second father. He pushed us to do and be our best, to never stop striving for our goals and to always love with everything we have. He was always a voice of reason, a kick in the pants when needed and an amazing hug whenever it was needed. I was honored to have him ask for my opinion and feedback in situations as well. The track will never be the same without him, however, the memories will always be there from polka music to ice cream to belly laughs. We will always be there for the family for anything at any time. Our love, sympathy and condolences are with you all. Bill we love you now and forever.

I will always treasure the memories I have as a kid at the Speedway, at the drag strip and riding on an Allsport 3 wheeler, but most treasured will be the memories of Bill as my brother in law and mentor. I am confident this strong, loving, giving man is in the presence of Jesus and telling Him wild stories of a life well lived.

We just have to say that our prayers are with Bills family and his racing families, we are all so lucky to have had Bill in our lives. He was such a lively personality. We all loved him for his charisma and his feelings for racing. He had this special talent of winning you over in a minute. He had so many hopes and dreams with out of the box ideas and thoughts and he made them come true. What a patriot he was to racing and what a friend he was to all that met him. We remember so many times we were at the raceway for so many events and "of course it had rained" and the track was not totally paved yet and Bill would come running to George or announce his name on the speakers to report to the tower and then he would say, hey I need stone, can you get me some stone? George would call his dad and later in life call Bill Mesenburg and here the trucks would come, how could you ever not help Bill Bader. He always told George that they saved the day. (which was not true but they did help). We truly have been so lucky to have Norwalk Raceway Park as a venue in our area, thanks to Bill, It has attracted so many racers and patrons to the area. We are so sorry for your loss and everyone will remember him always for what he did for racing and what he stood for as a KING to racing, great father, grandfather and warm personality he was. Loved him dearly.
With the deepest sympathy,
George and Joyce Mesenburg
