William S. "Steve" Hood Jr., 53, a lifelong resident of Norwalk, OH, died on September 12, 2025, at Fisher-Titus Medical Center in Norwalk. He was born on November 24, 1971, in Norwalk, to Diane (Krieg) and William Hood Sr.

Steve was a friendly guy who was very routine based. He loved the Cleveland Indians and sitting on his porch people watching.

He had worked for the original Berry's Restaurant and Circle "K" in Avery. Steve was very active at the Renaissance House in Norwalk, where he had several friends.

He is survived by his mother, Diane M. Hood; father, William S. Hood Sr.; brother, Jon Hood of Canton, MI; sister, Michelle Myers, of Bellevue, OH; and several aunts and uncles.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents on both sides.

A visitation is planned for Tuesday, September 16, 2025, at Walker-Eastman-Heydinger Funeral Home, 98 W. Main St., Norwalk, OH, from 12 p.m. (noon) until 1 p.m. A funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. on Tuesday at the funeral home with burial to follow in Woodlawn Cemetery.
