William J. "Bill" Lyons, 62, residing in Fremont and formerly of Sandusky, passed away unexpectedly Friday, Oct. 6, 2023, while at work.
He was born March 26, 1961, in Sandusky, to William L. Lyons and Phylis (Pocock) Wadding. Bill was a 1979 graduate of Sandusky High School.
He was employed by Heinz Company in Fremont and also worked for Thacker Industries, M.I. Meadows, and MetaliCo.
Bill loved going out to eat, playing card and board games, being creative, and Hamm radios.
He is survived by his wife of 33 years, Dana (Beechler) Lyons; children, Elizabeth (Adam) Lieb, Eric (Heidi) Lyons, and Dusten (Narmeen) Lyons; grandchildren, Colin, Brady, Owen, Audrey, Lucy, and Flynn; sisters, Marsha Lyons and Roxanne (Andy) Lyons Hardt; brother, Eugene (Jan) Lyons; father-in-law, Mike Beechler; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and mother-in-law, Judy Beechler.
Visitation for friends will be 10 a.m. Thursday, Oct. 12, 2023, until the time of Bill's memorial services at 11 a.m. at Toft Funeral Home & Crematory, 2001 Columbus Ave., Sandusky.
