William Albert McConnell Sr.

After 40 wonderful years of marriage, Bill is reunited with his heavenly family. Bill was an artist and a woodworker, but his favorite pastime was fishing. Bill was a passionate and caring person, always helping others. He served in the military and was stationed in Germany. He was a member of American Legion Post 547 in Monroeville.

He is survived by his wife, VernAn; daughter, Katharina Boyer of Bellevue; son, Bill Jr. of Reedtown; stepson, Dan Gregory of Nevada; two brothers, Bob of Sandusky and Ken (Lisa) of Bellevue; sister, Patti (Dick) Henney of Bellevue; son-in-law, Eric Tipple of Greenwich; grandchildren, Anthony (Taylor) Boyer of Ft. Wayne, Indiana, Nathan Boyer of Toledo, Jordan Boyer (Jessie Ahl) of Perrysburg, Timothy (Vanessa) Gregory of Nevada, Catherine Miner of Texas, Natasha Barnett of Willard, Amanda Tipple (Bob Marthey) of Glenmont, and Larry Tipple of Greenwich; and great-grandchildren, Paige Barnett, Reese Barnett, Aubree Miner, Evelyn Marthey, Everett Miner, and Daniella Gregory.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Archie 'Pat' and Pauline (Shellhamer) McConnell; sister, Loretta Meacham; brother, Tom; brother-in-law, Phil Meacham; sister-in-law, Karlene McConnell; stepdaughter, Veronica Tipple; niece, Autumn; and nephew, Jeremiah.

Bill was registered with the Cleveland Clinic Body Donation program.

Visitation will be 2 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 19, 2022, at St. John's Lutheran Church, Bellevue, followed by a service at 3 p.m. Memorials may be sent to the donor's favorite charity.
