Wilma Jean Collins, 90, of Catawba Island and formerly of Lacarne, passed away Saturday, July 20, 2024, at Stein Hospice Care Center, Sandusky.
She was born Dec. 24, 1933, in Athens County, the daughter of Delmar and Dorothy (Carsey) Annon. She married Dale Eugene Collins on Feb. 12, 1954, and he preceded her in death March 1, 2018. She was a member of LaPointe United Methodist Church. She retired from Lacarne Post Office and was clerk for Erie Township for many years.
Wilma is survived by her daughter, Kimberly (Allen) Minton of Marblehead; grandchildren, Allen Eugene (Ally Williams) Minton Jr. of Sheffield Village, Adam (Adriene) Minton of Sandusky, and Cassandra (Aaron Shank) Minton of Castalia; stepgrandchildren, James Minton of Port Clinton, Teresa (Brett) Smith of Troy, and Billy Minton of Columbus; daughter-in-law, Elisa Collins of Port Clinton; grandchildren, Sara (Andy) Shoemaker of Port Clinton and Kayla (Derek) Colston of Hilliard; great-grandchildren, Jordyn, Emma, Ella, Adelyn, Brooks, and Lela; and many stepgreat-grandchildren.
She was also preceded in death by her husband, Dale E. Collins; and son, Dale T. Collins.
Visitation will be 4-7 p.m. Tuesday, July 23, 2024 at Neidecker, Crosser & Priesman Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 1124 Fulton St., Port Clinton. Wilma's funeral will be 11 a.m. Wednesday, July 24, 2024, at the funeral home. Interment will follow at Lacarne Cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be given to Stein Hospice, 1200 Sycamore Line, Sandusky, Ohio, 44870.
