Yvonne (Kilgore) Taylor, 87, residing in Sandusky, passed away Saturday afternoon, Nov. 19, 2022, at The Meadows at Osborn Park following a brief illness.

Yvonne was born July 31, 1935, in Dungannon, Virginia, to the late Samuel and Kate (Massey) Kilgore.

Yvonne worked in retail for a number of years at the former Hills, JCPenney, and Sears. She was a member of Pythian Sister and Red Hat Society.

Yvonne is survived by her daughter, Debra Bailey of Bellevue; son, Benjamin E. (Sandy) Taylor Jr. of Avon; grandchildren, Harold (Danielle) Bailey II of Perrysburg, Vica Taylor of Avon, and Jenyaa (Ashley) Taylor; great-grandson, Ethan Taylor; and nieces and nephews, Bobbi Guy, Buddy Beavers, Larry Beavers, Randy, Beavers, Rick Beavers, Robin Poore, and Madline Churchill.

In addition to her parents, Yvonne was preceded in death by her husband, Benjamin Earl Taylor; sisters, Merle Beavers and Mary Poore; brother, Clyde Kilgore; and nephew, David Kilgore.

Friends may call 12 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 1, 2022, until the time of Yvonne's funeral at 1 p.m. at Groff Funeral Homes & Crematory, 1607 E. Perkins Ave., Sandusky. Yvonne's nephew, the Rev. Larry Beavers will officiate. Entombment will follow at Meadow Green Memorial Park, Huron. Her family requests that everyone wear Yvonne's favorite color, red, to her services.
