Zachary R. Spicer, 22, residing in Norwalk, passed away unexpectedly Sunday, April 5, 2026, at Fisher-Titus Medical Center.
Zachary was born on March 11, 2004, in Sandusky, to Larry Spicer and Nicole (Massie) Hall.
Zachary graduated from Huron High School in 2022 and was employed as a Line Lead at Autoneum in Norwalk. He was a devoted Pittsburgh Steelers fan and enjoyed spending his free time playing video games and dining out at his favorite restaurants. Zachary found joy in life's simple moments, especially those spent doing what he loved with the ones he loved.
Zachary is survived by his father, Larry (Damaris) Spicer; mother, Nicole (Bronson Gundlach) Hall; grandfather, Roger (Lucy) Massie; girlfriend, Aubrey Tuttle; sisters, Kaitlyn Hall, Ashley Hall, Kristan Spicer and Sarah Spicer; nephews, Graycen Notestine and Kaden Betts; niece, Everleigh Betts; uncle, Donald L. Spicer; cousins and other relatives.
Zachary is preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Donald and Barbara Spicer; maternal grandmother, Nancy Massie; sister, Barbara Spicer; uncle, Billy Spicer; and aunt, Barbara Spicer.
Friends may call from 3 p.m. until time of Memorial Service at 5 p.m. Friday, April 17, 2026, at Groff Funeral Homes & Crematory, 1607 E. Perkins Ave., Sandusky.

I knew Zach from concert choir in high school. First period at the start of everyday, everyone was tired in a seemingly boring class. Zach was one of those people that could make anyone laugh. His goofy personality really helped turn a boring class into one of my favorite classes. No matter who it was, whether you were having a bad day or just tired and not feeling great, Zach always found a way to make you smile. He had a joke for every occasion and he made everyone feel like a friend. He didn´t have a filter and he was authentic, and I think that´s what people liked most about him.
At the end of choir class each day, we typically had time to do homework, play piano, or play music. Zach would always join in, dancing and singing to us playing piano or playing songs. We all enjoyed each other´s company and I´m so glad I got to know him for the short amount of time that I did.
Zach will greatly be missed and my thoughts and prayers go out to his friends and family during this devastating time.
