Barbara A. Rainey, 76, of Sandusky, passed away Saturday, May 27, 2023, at Providence Care Center.
She was born Nov. 1, 1946, in Anderson, South Carolina, to Doris and James Davis. She accepted our Lord and Savior at an early age. Barbara was one of four children.
She graduated from Fremont Ross High School in 1964 and worked for WSOS in Fremont and was a home health aide until she retired.
Barbara had no children, but was a second mother to her nieces and nephew. She loved crafts, making floral arrangements for her home, cooking, gardening, and spending time with her family.
She is survived by her brothers, James (Madaline) Davis and David M. Davis; nieces, Sherri (John) Clark and Kelli Davis; nephew, Anthony Davis; great-nieces, Shayla L. Brown and Lyric Davis; special niece, Rayven Davis; great-nephew, Shaki Davis; and a host of other relatives.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and sister, Hilda M. Davis.
Barbara's memorial service will be 12 p.m. Tuesday, June 6, 2023, at Toft Funeral Home & Crematory, 2001 Columbus Ave., Sandusky. Supt. Latham Stowers will give the eulogy. Burial will follow at Oakland Cemetery, Sandusky.

I had no idea when I spoke with you in April, that would be our last conversation. It was so pleasant, and we both laughed uncontrollably. Bobbi 63 years of Friendship. I met you when I was 7 years old. It was the year that your Cousins, Dot and Bee had moved to Sunny Side. After losing Dot and Bee our Friendship remained. , Now you are all together again along with Hilda, your sister....and just like I missed them I sure an going to miss you.-- Debi
