Chelsea Abrams Obituary

Chelsea Bertha Abrams

Nov 26, 1989 - Dec 8, 2024

Sandy Springs, Georgia

Chelsea Bertha Abrams was born Nov. 26, 1989, in Sandusky, to Myron and Stacey (Aaron) Abrams. From an early age, Chelsea embraced a deep and abiding faith, accepting Jesus Christ as her Savior and becoming a member of Ebenezer Baptist Church under Pastor Dr. Curtis A. Brown. As an adult, she later worshiped at Hopewell Baptist Church in Norcross, Georgia, continuing her walk with God.

Chelsea was a bright and ambitious soul, graduating from Perkins High School in 2008 and earning her bachelor's degree in Mass Communication/Radio from Akron University, where she was "Chelsea B," a dynamic and passionate radio personality on WZIP.

Chelsea had a way of lighting up every room. Her bright, radiant smile, as infectious as her energy, was a force of nature- she was opinionated, confident, and fiercely loving. Her strong voice, unapologetically, was valued and certainly left an imprint on everyone who knew her. Chelsea's enjoyment for life was truly unmatched.

Professionally, Chelsea was a powerhouse. She served as an IAM Security Analyst at Emory Hospital in Atlanta for over 10 years and also worked as a contracted security analyst for Radiology Partners in Chicago, Illinois. Her brilliance and work ethic earned her admiration in her field.

The love of her life and soulmate for over 15 beautiful years, Jerold Russ Hall, brought Chelsea endless joy, laughter, and unwavering companionship from the moment they met. Their bond was a testament to true love.

She leaves to cherish her memory her parents, Myron and Stacey (Aaron) Abrams of South Holland, Illinois; brother, Dezmond Abrams of Lawrenceville, Georgia; her soulmate for over 15 years, Jerold Russ Hall of Atlanta, Georgia; special sisters, Sheena Palmer of Columbus and Aryan Langdon of Sandusky; best friend, Jasmine Pace of New York; godchildren: Aria, Axton (Bo) and Ayla; special aunt/mom, Linda Palmer; special cousins, Joy Gray, Vonda Kubitz, Felice Jones, Brittany Jenkins, Reva Pace, Paige Aaron, Terry Aaron, Jr. and Brian Moore; special Ohio father, Tony Jones; special Ohio moms, DeJuana Langdon and Sharon Hall; godsisters, Camryn Brown and Sanai Page; ATL friends, Trina Wilson, Vashti (Vee) Tate, Marquita Vaughn, Courtney Lawrence, Taylor Flynn, Morgan Scruggs, Adryana Williams, Crystal Belser, Carrie Gerstmyer and Antonio Hunter.

She was preceded in death by her son in infancy, Carter Rashad Hall; maternal grandparents, Claude and Bertha Aaron; paternal grandparents, Thomas and Mabel Abrams; and aunt, Brenda Parker.

Friends may call from 11 a.m. until the time of the funeral services at 12 p.m. Friday, Dec. 20, 2024, at Faith Church, 1320 E. Strub Rd., Sandusky. Burial will follow at Oakland Cemetery. Toft Funeral Home & Crematory, 2001 Columbus Ave., Sandusky, is handling the arrangements.

I´m sending my prayers, love and condolences to the family of Chelsea during this hard time. I met Chelsea years ago when we merged as a team. I always saw her as a little sister that always had me laughing about something, especially about work. Our last conversation was about encouragement for the both of us and I said, I got you, I will always be here when you need to talk about anything. She said, "I appreciate you and thank you for checking on me." I´m so sad that I can´t check on you, but I know you´re checking on all of us with a smile. Thank you for everything, your smile, your heart and laughter. Rest peacefully Chelsea. Nikia

Sending my heartfelt sympathy to all of Chelsea's loved ones. Her Emory team adored her and will miss her greatly. I had the pleasure of working with her for the past seven years, and I simply cannot say enough good things about her. Chelsea was thoughtful, intelligent, and an absolute joy to work with. We could always count on her to volunteer whenever needed, bringing her "can do" attitude and willingness to help in any way she could.

Her sweet spirit showed through daily in many ways, including sending messages and making calls to me when I faced trials of my own. Chelsea's beautiful soul was taken from us far too soon, and she will be dearly missed. Rest in peace, beautiful Chelsea.

Our prayers, love, and deepest condolences go out to Chelsea's parents, her brother Dezmond, and their entire family during this incredibly difficult time. Baby girl, as I often called you, our hearts are shattered into a million pieces here at EMORY. The IAM Security team is missing you dearly. I will miss our conversations and answering the phone to hear Chelsea's cheerful voice saying, "Mrs. V, I got a question!" with a laugh. She was always willing to help in any way possible, always saying, "Yes, I will do it. "From the first day I met her and Antonio at Dekalb, it was clear they were inseparable, working together seamlessly to get the job done. I don't know if I have any more tears left to cry, but I miss you, baby girl. Our last conversation was about the gift we sent and you loved it snuggling up in your soft blanket...May you all find comfort in knowing that she is now resting peacefully in the arms of Jesus... May God bless you and your family during this time. I worked in the same department and on the same team as Chelsea here at Emory Healthcare, and wanted to let share how I enjoyed our daily interactions. I let her know often over the years how cool, smart and fun I thought she was and I truly meant every word. She was so humble and used to laugh at my jokes, which kept things fun, light and positive. I am so thankful for Chelsea and miss her so. I know the angels are blessing her, and showering her family and loved ones with love.
