David F. Lutz, 75, residing in Huron, passed away Saturday afternoon, April 4, 2026, at Stein Hospice Care Center.

David was born April 22, 1950, to Howard and Jean (Canning) Lutz.

David was a 1968 graduate of Sandusky High School and received his B.A. in Education from Bowling Green State University. David retired from Delphi in 2016 after 38 years of service as a general supervisor.

David was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church and CHSAF Athletic Board. He enjoyed coaching his children's sports teams, fishing, biking, Cleveland Indians and Boston Celtics; he especially enjoyed spending time with his family and friends.

David is survived by two daughters, Caroline (Jason) Dulaney and Jennifer (James) Wellman; a son, Timothy (Lynn) Lutz; four grandchildren, Wyatt, Keegan, Cora, and Connor; a brother, Kevin Lutz; and several nieces, nephews and other relatives.

David is preceded in death by his parents; a sister, Patricia King; and a sister in infancy, Mary.

A private family Mass of Christian Burial will be at Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church. Burial will be at Meadow Green Memorial Park, Huron. Groff Funeral Home and Crematory is assisting family with arrangements.
