Elaine Waterfield Obituary

I have very fond memories of Elaine and her sense of community. She welcomed me to the Flynn Py and Kruse family where our husbands were both attorneys and was always very intelligent and kind.

Your mom was one of the most caring, thoughtful, sincere and positive people I was fortunate to know during my time as band director at Perkins High School. She was a true ambassador of the Perkins School System, the Perkins Alumni and Friends and the entire Perkins community. Her dedication and commitment to so many different organizations was a true testament to her integrity and selfless nature. She wanted to help make every group she was associated with the best they could possibly be so that all people could enjoy the jewels of our area. Her insight, knowledge and perception gave her the uncanny ability to help organizations move forward and be successful.
Elaine was very kind to me and my family and a huge fan of the Perkins Band. We shared many conversations during my time at Perkins and even after I retired. After our talks, I always came away feeling uplifted and special, because your mom made everyone feel that way. As much as she loved her schools and community, she loved nothing more than her children and grandchildren. She was so proud of your accomplishments and what your families were doing. She was always ready with an update for me when our paths would cross. Updates that I loved to hear about.
To know Elaine Waterfield was to know a wonderful human being and to be privileged to have her as a friend was a true blessing. To actually have her as a mom was certainly a gift that you and your families will carry with you forever. My sincere sympathies on the loss of your mom.

Elaine was a wonderful neighbor and will be greatly missed.

Her love of native plants turned her yard into a place of beauty and belonging-a reflection of her care for the world around her.

Condolences to family and friends! I was fortunate enough to be in Toast Masters back in the day. She was always offering great advice, and I will miss her.

Elaine was a great lady. Her mentoring of Jim and jon through 4 H and support of educational endeavors were a blessing to many. A good friend.
