Eric Manbeck Obituary
Eric Bud Manbeck
Oct 28, 1980 - Oct 28, 2025
Bellevue
Eric "Bud" Manbeck, 45, of Bellevue, went to be with our Lord and Savior at home, surrounded by family, after a long, courageous battle with cancer.
He was born October 28, 1980, the son of Ricky L. and Marlene "Mim" (Meyer) Manbeck. Bud was a 1999 graduate of Bellevue Senior High School. After graduation, he worked at Solid Foundations and Gore Concrete as a laborer and mechanic. Bud loved being a part of the "Gore Family" and was loved by all who worked with him. He always looked forward to the Thanksgiving barn party each year, which he started for his work family as a way to gather outside of work. Bud also helped Jarrett's Tree Service over the years.
Bud married his wife, Krista (Zieber) Manbeck, May 14, 2005. Together they have their two greatest blessings, Emma Cassidy Manbeck and Easton James Manbeck, both at home.
Bud loved all things tractors. He could be found in the barn working on and rebuilding tractors, selling tractors and parts, and tractor pulls. Bud's greatest joy was passing his love of tractors on to his children. He would spend countless weekends at fairs, festivals, S.C.R.A.P. pulling their antique tractors with his dad, Rick, Emma and Easton. He also loved collecting farm toy tractors and sharing his passion with his kids.
Bud could be found at local auctions and toy shows. He always looked forward to the Fremont fairground toy show and taking his kids. His other favorite auction stop was Wilbur Wade's Auction with his sister, Jen and nephew, Alex and whoever else he could talk into going that day.
He also loved weekend family trips: planning trips to Amish Country, Frankenmuth, Michigan, and area water parks, and surprising the kids. However, it was never a trip if he was not able to locate the nearest antique store. The kids loved exploring antiques with Dad.
Bud accepted Jesus as his Lord and Savior in February 2025 and attended Grace Community in Fremont.
Bud is survived by his wife of 20 years, Krista (Zieber) Manbeck; children, Emma (Cohen Meyers) and Easton Manbeck, all at home. His parents, Ricky L. and Marlene "Mim" (Meyer) Manbeck; sister, Jennifer (David) Rogers; father and mother-in-law, Lee A. and Cindy (Hire) Zieber; brothers-in-law, Chad (Jennifer) Zieber and Shawn Zieber; grandfather-in-law, Daniel Hire; nephews and nieces, Alexander (Ruthie) Rogers, Addison Rogers, Colton Zieber, and Madison Zieber, all of Bellevue; as well as many aunts, uncles, and cousins.
He is preceded in death by his infant brother, Brian Manbeck; grandparents, Leonard and Jean (Everson) Manbeck, Richard and AnnaMarie (Dendinger) Meyer; grandparents-in-law, Leon and Ruth (Warner) Zieber and Ferne (Harpster) Hire; uncle, Raymond Meyer; and cousin, Kevin Meyer.
Friends will be received from 2-8 p.m. Friday, October 31, 2025, at Foos and Foos Funeral Service, 151 Yorkshire Place, Bellevue, where a funeral service will begin at 10 a.m. Saturday, November 1, 2025. Burial will follow at York Chapel Cemetery.
Bud and his family wish to thank Seidman of Firelands Cancer Center staff and Southern Care Hospice for their dedication and care.
Donations may be made in memory of Bud to Piggyback Foundation (When Pigs Fly), Firelands Foundation, or S.C.R.A.P.
