Pauline Clara (Russell) Druckenmiller, 98, of Sandusky, passed away and into the loving arms of Jesus Saturday, March 7, 2026.

Pauline grew up on the family farm in Groton Township, Ohio, the first of her siblings to be born in the hospital. She was a graduate of Sandusky High School and enjoyed her classes, especially math and spelling, which influenced her decision to attend Capital University and Bowling Green State University to become a teacher. Pauline taught elementary school for many years at both Sandusky City Schools and Perkins School District.

With her husband, Donald, she enjoyed traveling throughout the United States and many parts of Europe. They hosted a series of exchange students over the years, some of whom they stayed in touch with throughout their lives. She was a faithful member of Zion Lutheran Church, Sandusky, for over 70 years. Pauline participated in Bible studies, Book Connection, Women's Circle, and, with her husband, taught Sunday School for many years. She was a member of Jayceettes, Delta Kappa Gamma and College Women's Club.

Pauline is survived by her daughter, Susan Wentz; her grandchildren, Joshua Sherman, Malachi Sherman and Kellin Smalley; and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, Elmer Charles Russell and Clara Parker Russell, Pauline was preceded in death by her loving husband of 63 years, Donald D. Druckenmiller; her son, Daniel Druckenmiller; sisters, Margaret Clark, Kathryn Winslow, and Florence Zorn; and brothers, Melvin Russell and George Russell.

A private rite of Christian Burial, led by Pastor Stacy Lauer-Scovanner, will take place at a later date.
