Frederick H. Luipold, 62, of Sandusky, passed away Sunday, March 12, 2023, at Stein Hospice Care Center.
Frederick was born Jan. 29, 1961, in Sandusky, to Jeanette and Frederick Luipold.
He was employed by local 42 plumbers and steamfitters out of Norwalk for 43 years and worked his trade across many states during that time. He was a member of Perseverance Lodge No. 329 Sandusky. He was an avid boater for many years, belonging to Sandusky Yacht Club and All Ports Yacht Club - and most notably captaining a bravo boat for the tall ships into Cleveland. He also enjoyed scuba diving and traveling to Cancun with his family for many memorable vacations.
He is survived by his wife, Elizabeth (Wright) Luipold; two daughters, Kaileigh Koschutnik and Kristen (Gabriel) Brunow; grandson, Kamden; sisters, Dian Luipold and Marilyn (John) Luipold-Kelly; brother-in-law, Doug Wright; parents-in-law, Ann and Harry Wright; and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and brothers-in-law, Greg and Steve Wright.
Visitation will be 12-2 p.m. Saturday, March 18, 2023, at Foster Funeral Home & Crematory, 410 Main St., Huron, Ohio, 44839. Masonic services will be 1:30 p.m. Private family services will be at a later date this summer.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the family for end-of-life care expenses or Erie County Humane Society, 1911 Superior St., Sandusky, Ohio, 44870.
Foster Funeral Home & Crematory, Huron, is assisting family.

My condolences to Fred's family. We hung out together in high school for a couple of years and had a lot of fun. I will never forget him.
