Howard Duane Graffice, 89, residing in Monroeville, passed away Thursday evening, Oct. 27, 2022, at home surrounded by his family.

Howard was a long-time employee of General Telephone Company and an avid fan of Cleveland Browns, Cleveland Indians, and Ohio State football.

Howard was born May 21, 1933, in Greenwich, to Harry and Gertrude (Livengood). He married the love of his life, Bette (Evans), on July 3, 1956. Howard and Bette raised their family in Norwalk and later moved to Monroeville. Howard was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church.

Howard is survived by his daughter, Rebecca (Robert) Petersen; son, Duane (Barbara) Graffice; daughter, Tami Mack; daughter, Lori Graffice; daughter, Vicki (Jerry) Hartman; special friends, Chris and Vicki Brown; grandchildren, Mandy (Scott) Bowens, Nick (Heather) Graffice, Bryan (Ashley) Graffice, Lindsay (Shane) Miller, RC Mack, Will Mack, Deanna (Brian) Armstrong, Aleesa (Michael) Walden, Madison Smith, Garrett Smith, and Ally Brown; 13 great-grandchildren; siblings, Charlene Henney and Jim (Bev) Graffice; and sisters-in-law, Carole (Bill) Spiker and Edith Evans.

Howard was preceded in death by his wife of 61 years, Bette; beloved dog, Penny; parents, Gertrude and Harry; and siblings, Paul, Robert, Pauline, Ralph, Harold, Mary Ann, Shirley, Katherine, William, and Edwin.

There will be no service with a private family gathering for interment.

Memorial contributions may be made to Bette L. and Howard D. Graffice Scholarship, Norwalk Catholic School, 93 East Main Street, Norwalk, Ohio, 44857.
