Irene Edwards, 61, of Sandusky, unexpectedly transitioned from her earthly home to her heavenly home Monday, Oct. 24, 2022.

Irene was born April 14, 1961, in Sandusky, to the late Marvin Odell Edwards Sr. and Mary Zella (Brown) Page.

Irene attended Perkins High School. During this time, she moved to St. Louis, Michigan, for a few years. Throughout her adulthood, she worked at Sandusky Plastics, Wal-Mart, and lastly at Erie County Serving Our Seniors. Irene dedicated her life to Christ as a young adult. She was always the life of the party. She loved the game of football, reading, dancing, listening to music, making others laugh, and spending time with family and friends.

Irene leaves to cherish her memory her three children, Shakita Williams and Jerry Webb, both of Sandusky, and Marie Kirksey of Lakewood; 11 grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; sisters, Catherine Edwards (Harry) Sullivan and Christine Edwards (John L) Moore, both of Cleveland; brothers, Ellis Edwards and Marvin O. Edwards Jr., both of Sandusky, and Damarquis C. Brown of Norwalk; special friends, Elaine Redding, Tondra Frisby, and Queen Amison; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, dear family members, and loved ones.

Greeting Irene in her after life are those who preceded in death, her parents; maternal and paternal grandparents; brother, Calvin Brown; and nephew, Calvin D. Churchwell Sr.

Friends may call 10 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 5, 2022, until the time of Homegoing Services at 12 p.m. at Ebenezer Baptist Church, 1215 Pierce St., Sandusky.
