Sandusky
Janet L. (Starr) Keimer, 90, of Sandusky, passed away Sunday, Aug. 13, 2023, at home.
She was born May 16, 1933, in Bellevue, to Harold Starr and Isabell (Killinger) Saxer.
Janet graduated from Sandusky High School. She retired as office manager for Kraus, Hanck & Co. Janet was a member of Emmanuel United Church of Christ and American Legion Post 83 Auxiliaries. In her spare time, she enjoyed antiquing, traveling with her husband out west, playing cards, and time spent with her family, especially her grandchildren.
Janet is survived by her daughter, Julie (Richard) Koch of Bellevue; daughter-in-law, Sandra Keimer of Berlin Heights; grandchildren, Tracey (Steve) Ball, Paul (Trisha) Drossman, Brian (Shirley) Koch, Karl Keimer, and Hank Keimer; 13 great-grandchildren; siblings, David (Thea) Saxer, Patrick Starr, Diane (David Campbell) Starr, Crystal Barth, and Carlene (Dick) Johnston; and numerous nieces, nephews, and other relatives.
Janet was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Dale in 2018; son, Carl in 2018; and sister, Ladonna Kaufman.
Visitation for friends will be 12 p.m. Friday, Aug. 18, 2023, until the time of Janet's funeral at 1 p.m. at Toft Funeral Home & Crematory, 2001 Columbus Ave., Sandusky. Chaplain Mel Sayler will officiate. Burial will follow at Meadow Green Memorial Park.
