John L. "Johnny" Garlock

John L. "Johnny" Garlock Jr., 66, of Sandusky, passed away Saturday afternoon, Nov. 5, 2022, at his home.

He was born Jan. 31, 1956, in Sandusky, the son of the late Helen (Morton) and John L. Garlock Sr. He married Brenda (Hunsaker) on Nov. 29, 1999, and she survives.

Johnny worked at Delphi for 33 years, retiring in 2010. After retirement, he worked at Meijer. Johnny enjoyed watching Cleveland Browns football, college basketball, and TV Land, especially Gunsmoke. He liked yard work, reading, fishing, boating, and golfing.

Johnny is survived by his wife of 22 years, Brenda; grandchildren that he helped raise, Marah and Mark A. Trautman; stepson, Brandon (Cindy) Trautman; grandchildren, Braden and Bridey Trautman; sisters, Kayren (John) Reddaway and Pam (Lynn) Grealy; fur babies, Jazzy and Blue; and many nieces, nephews, and other relatives.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and stepson Mark R. Trautman.

Visitation will be 9 a.m. Tuesday, Nov. 8, 2022, until Johnny's memorial service at 12 p.m. at Sandusky Church of God, 1018 Bogart Rd., Sandusky. Johnny's good friend and pastor, the Rev. Bob Nickester will officiate.

The family requests donations to be made to Sandusky Church of God or Erie County Humane Society.
