Huron
June E. (Denton) Klein, 98, of Dublin, Ohio, and former longtime resident of Huron, passed away Wednesday, Nov. 16, 2022.
She was born Oct. 14, 1924, and was a graduate of The Ohio State University, earning a B.S. in Education. She taught preschool for 45 years at Wee People Nursery School at Christ Episcopal Church, Huron.
A devout Christian Scientist, she still attended church at First Church of Christ, Scientist, Columbus, Ohio. She met her husband of 71 years, Richard "Dick" Klein, at an Ohio State-Michigan game. They married Sept., 1949. June was an avid gardener, piano player and photographer, and loved to travel. She and Dick ventured to over 95 countries. Their last trip was to Iceland in 2019 while both in their 90s.
June embodied that idea of absolute selfless love and devotion every day of her life to her children and grandchildren. She extended that same love and kindness to friends and community. A life well lived.
She is survived by her daughter, Terry (Bill) Herzog of Shawnee Hills, Ohio; son, David (Jackie Fries) Klein of Huron; grandchildren, Mike (Megan Burwinkel) Klein of Fort Collins, Colorado, and Alex Klein (Julia Calderon) of Columbus; and brother, Don Denton of Westerville.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Richard Klein; parents, Harold and Helen (Chenoweth) Denton; and brother, Robert Denton.
A private family service will take place and entombment will be at Meadow Green Memorial Park, Huron.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Dick and June Klein Education Scholarship, in care of Huron Educational Foundation, 710 Cleveland Rd., Huron, Ohio, 44839.

Our deepest sympathies to June´s family on her passing. As a girl, June invited the Antrim girls (& my sister & I) for lunch every summer and would send us home with mint brownies - yummy. Such a kind, lovely lady. May she Rest In Peace.
