Kitty Helen Olivares, 69, of Sandusky, passed away Saturday, April 13, 2024.

She was born Dec. 25, 1954, in Norton, Virginia, to Myrtle Croxton and Oley Hamilton.

Kitty was a loving homemaker who found joy in decorating for holidays, especially Christmas, thrift store shopping, and collecting various items.

Kitty will be deeply missed and forever remembered by her surviving family members, her siblings, Susie Churchill, Patty (Jim) Scavio, Lacy Hamilton, Robert (Julie) Hamilton, and Joy Patton; children, Becky (Tom) Truitt, Eddie Ackerman, and Joe (Brooke) Ackerman; and 12 grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; and son, Eric Ackerman Jr.

Kitty's celebration of life will be 2-4 p.m. Thursday, April 18, 2024, at Sandusky VFW, 604 W. Perkins Ave. Her memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew her.

Kitty, you were my childhood BFF, through the years (63) to be exact, we stayed strong in our friendship I felt our bond made us who we were thick n thin good or bad times. My heart is broken today but our life memories will keep me till we meet up again. You were the Only one that could get away with calling me by my given name and I you!! You didn´t speak the ILY `s but I got mine even if it was a slip up lol. I am lost now but please give Eric, Rodney both our parents n the rest of our tribe hugs from me till I get there too and we will carry on raising cane as we used too. I you my sister by a different Moma n Dad forever friends Lois n James Rouse
